My Visit to the Technisches Museum (Vienna Museum of Science and Technology)
During our visit to Vienna, my wife, my two boys, and I had the wonderful opportunity to explore the Technisches Museum Vienna, one of the most remarkable museums dedicated to science, technology and engineering in the heart of Europe. This inspiring place offers a unique journey through the history of human innovation, showcasing the developments that have shaped our modern world.
We had the valuable opportunity to experience a wide range of interactive exhibitions, discover fascinating engineering achievements, and gain a deeper understanding of how technology has evolved through time. From electricity and energy to transportation, communication and industrial innovation, the museum provided us with an unforgettable learning experience while highlighting the creativity, knowledge and determination behind many of the technologies we use in our everyday lives.
Πρότυπο BS7671:2018 vs BS7671:2008 – Αλλαγές στις Κανονιστικές Διατάξεις μεταξύ 17ης και 18ης Έκδοσης Κανονισμών του Προτύπου BS7671
Το σεμινάριο έχει ως στόχο την καταρχήν ενημέρωση για τις αλλαγές που επέφερε το 2018 η νέα έκδοση του προτύπου BS7671:2018 σε σημαντικά τμήματα και κεφάλαια των κανονισμών για τις απαιτήσεις ηλεκτρικών εγκαταστάσεων καθώς και των περαιτέρω αλλαγών στην τελευταία τροποποίηση του 2024 και τους στόχους για την 4η τροποποίηση.
Η σύγκριση των αλλαγών έχει ως στόχο να εισάγει τους εκπαιδευόμενους σε μια σειρά νέων απαιτήσεων και διαφοροποιήσεων γύρω από το πρότυπο BS7671 και την ανάγκη για την ένταξη νέων πρακτικών καθώς η Κ.Δ.Π 168/2017 επιτρέπει με βάση και το Άρθρο 46 (2γ) του Περί Ηλεκτρισμού Κανονισμών 1941-2019, την υιοθέτηση αναβαθμισμένων προνοιών ή προνοιών που δεν προβλέπονται από το πρότυπο BS7671:2008 με τις τροποποιήσεις του 2011,2013 και 2015 που εφαρμόζεται στην Κύπρο όσον αφορά τις ηλεκτρικές εγκαταστάσεις. Για την καλύτερη κατανόηση των νέων ή αναβαθμισμένων προνοιών απαιτείται η καταρχήν κατανόηση των βασικών προνοιών του προτύπου BS7671.
Πρότυπο CYS EN IEC 62446-2:2020 Φωτοβολταϊκά Συστήματα- Απαιτήσεις για έλεγχο, συντήρηση και πιστοποίηση
Το σεμινάριο έχει ως στόχο να εκπαιδεύσει τους συμμετέχοντες στην κατανόηση και εφαρμογή των απαιτήσεων του προτύπου CYS EN IEC 62446-2:2020, με έμφαση στη συντήρηση, τον έλεγχο και τη συμπερίληψη των απαραίτητων εγγράφων πιστοποίησης σε διασυνδεδεμένα φωτοβολταϊκά συστήματα.
Στο πλαίσιο του σεμιναρίου, εξετάζονται επίσης θέματα σχεδιασμού με βάση το πρότυπο IEC 62548-1:2023, προκειμένου να διασφαλιστεί η κατανόηση και εφαρμογή των απαιτούμενων ελέγχων κατά την παράδοση ενός φωτοβολταϊκού συστήματος.
My Visit to Nikola Tesla’s Museum in Belgrade
During the Summer of 2024, my wife, my two boys, and I had the wonderful opportunity to visit the fascinating Nikola Tesla museum in Belgrade, Serbia, a truly fascinating place that is dedicated to the life and work of the significant inventor and electrical engineer Nikola Tesla. We had the valuable opportunity to gain a deeper insight into the vast variety of his inventive creations, while also gathering more detailed information about his significant contributions to the ongoing development of modern electricity and technology as a whole.
The excitement on my face was evident, reflecting the sheer joy and enthusiasm I felt in that moment.I wanted to take the time to show my first-born son exactly why I am so deeply passionate about this field of electrical engineering consulting and teaching. I wanted to explain him why I chose to embark on this journey to become an expert consultant engineer and an academic tutor in the first place, highlighting the various experiences and insights that have shaped my career along the way.
