My brief Introduction…

In case we haven't yet had the opportunity to meet in person, my name is Charalambos. I am, among many other roles and responsibilities, a dedicated Electrical Designing Engineer. I own and operate my own design firm, CAS Electrical Consulting, which focuses on delivering high-quality electrical design solutions. Additionally, I serve as a College Head Lecturer specializing in Electrical Engineering at Cyprus College Nicosia, where I am committed to educating and mentoring the next generation of technicians.

I have successfully completed a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Materials Science and Engineering, with a particular focus on Electronic Materials as well as Solar Photovoltaic Design and Application, from the University of Ioannina in Greece. This program provided me with a strong foundation in the fundamental principles of materials and their applications in electronic devices and renewable energy technologies. Additionally, I hold a Master of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Electrical Power Systems and Distribution, which I obtained from the University of Cyprus in Nicosia, Cyprus. This advanced degree enhanced my understanding of power generation, transmission, and distribution networks, further preparing me for challenges in the electrical engineering sector. Beyond this, I also earned a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with Management, specializing in Nanotechnology and Power Systems Analysis, from the University of Glasgow in Scotland. This interdisciplinary program combined technical engineering knowledge with management skills, enabling me to approach complex projects from both technical and organizational perspectives. Lastly but not least, I hold a Master of Science in Energy, focusing on Solar and Wind Energy as well as the Economics of Energy, from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. This comprehensive study deepened my expertise in renewable energy technologies and the economic considerations necessary for effective energy policy and project implementation. These diverse academic credentials reflect my broad and multifaceted expertise, as well as my strong commitment to advancing knowledge and innovation in the fields of electrical engineering and sustainable energy systems.

Outside of my professional endeavors, I am an enthusiastic hiker who finds great joy and peace in exploring the beauty and tranquility of nature. In addition, I am a devoted football fan who follows the sport passionately, keeping up with matches and players alike. I am also a proud father to two wonderful boys who inspire me every day, a loving and supportive husband committed to my family, and an avid admirer of documentary films that continually broaden my understanding and perspective of the world around us. Moreover, I have a heartfelt affection for dogs and truly enjoy the companionship and unconditional love of my lovely dog Nuno.

At present, I live and work in Nicosia, the bustling and vibrant capital city of Cyprus, residing just outside the city center in the charming, quiet, and friendly neighborhood of Agios Dometios. Please excuse the abundance of white space on this page, as I am currently preparing material for my new blog titled 'CAS Electrical Consulting.' My vision and plans for this new platform are steadily taking shape and evolving over time. A key aim of this project is to actively seek out fresh and meaningful opportunities for collaboration, to build new connections that reach out to a broader and more diverse community, and to honor a personal commitment I have made to myself—to continuously reinvent my life and remain creatively stimulated in all my pursuits.

On this page, I will regularly share a variety of content related to electrical engineering, including insightful and in-depth articles on electrical design, comprehensive project and product reviews, as well as thoughtful thoughts about engineering podcasts, upcoming electrical seminars, and a wide range of technical articles.

I would be truly honored and grateful if you choose to stay tuned and follow along on this exciting and informative journey….
